[00:00:00] Hello, and thank you for joining us today on The Gentle Art of Crushing It Show, where we focus on learning and sharing with our listeners all there is to know about how to create success in our lives. This show stands on the shoulders of giants. Our mission is to empower and inspire our listeners to create the life of their dreams whilst having a blast in the process. Let's celebrate life together. Welcome to the show.

[00:00:29] Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Gentle Art of Crushing It. So my name is Doug Clark. I'm the other host. And if you've been following us for long, then I'm sure you're aware of Randy Smith and he is an absolute rock star. Super grateful for you, Randy. Thank you. So this episode here is, you know, really about encouragement because, you know, that's

[00:00:54] all of my episodes also because I believe that I was born put on this earth to encourage other people. With that being said, we're going to jump right into this and what this is about is that you are, you know, a miracle. You are amazing. You are so powerful and you are so capable of so much, right? So with that being said, you know, life wasn't meant to be lived or loved

[00:01:21] or enjoyed by others. You know, you weren't meant to just be another cog in the wheel. Humans are born for greatness, period, exclamation point. Actually, humans are natural overcomers. You are a born winner. You're a miracle. Actually, the probability of your existing at all is one to in 10 to the power of 2,685,000. Not sure exactly that I said that number, right? But you can

[00:01:48] look it up. So as a comparison, the number of atoms in the body of an average male, 175 pounds, is 10 to the power of 27. Okay. The number of atoms making up, you know, the planet earth is about 10 to the power of 50. The number of atoms known in the, in the known universe is estimated at 10 to the power of 80. Okay. So what's the probability of your existing? It's the probability of 2 million

[00:02:14] people getting together about the population of San Diego, each to play a game of dice with a trillion sided dice. They each roll the dice and they all roll say 550,343,000,000,000. No, 550,343,000,000,000,000. The exact same number out of a trillion possible numbers. A miracle is an event so unlikely as to be

[00:02:43] almost impossible. So that's a, that is one definition. And, you know, by that definition, I've just shown that you're a miracle. And, you know, this, some of this, a good chunk of what we're going over right now comes from Dr. Ali Victor Benazar. Okay. You can look up his article called happiness engineering. All right. So please do, I'd encourage you to do that. So if you're still beating yourself up after this for any

[00:03:10] reason at L at all whatsoever, just stop it. You don't deserve it. And as a self-professing, professing Christian, that's me not pushing my beliefs on you, but I, I am a, I'll scream it from the rooftops. I'm very, very unashamed, right? So, you know, as a self-professing Christian, I believe everybody deserves grace. I also believe everybody can turn their lives around. It doesn't matter how low you've sunk. It doesn't matter how horrible deeds you've done. It doesn't matter who you've harmed. You know,

[00:03:40] there is always forgiveness. There is always a way to find grace, love, peace, happiness, joy, success, and even the gentle art of crushing it. With that being said, if you have harmed anybody, in the past, my recommendation is that you make it right. So, you know, there don't, uh, you know, just, uh, you know, fly off the handle willy nilly. And, you know, I would say consult a therapist,

[00:04:05] right? And go through things the right way. But anytime we've harmed somebody, we need to make it right. And real quick disclaimer, I'm not a lawyer, attorney, a doctor, so on and so forth. Okay. I'm a real estate investor, a father, you know, and, uh, someone who loves life. So success. Okay. Is a definition that we all get to create for ourselves. I believe we should set goals, realistic goals and impossible goals that, you know, we couldn't do in one lifetime,

[00:04:32] which I'd recently read in a book. And I don't really remember who, what wrote it at this point. And what's funny is I thought I heard this a couple of weeks ago, but apparently this was months ago. So it's interesting. Um, you know, I don't remember the author, but, uh, you know, also small and easily. So I can't give him credit. So, but if you know the author, please let me know so I can give him or her credit, huge, impossible goals that we can't accomplish in

[00:04:58] one lifetime is impossible. Those are awesome, but also, so are very small and easily attainable goals, a to-do list for the day. You know, an example, like go out and mow the lawn, check emails, respond to them, call a friend and share with them about how much you appreciate them. Be a go-giver, which is a great book, right? But also a great concept, give and serve others, other human beings and you know, your pets and animal friends as well, but go serve others.

[00:05:26] You'll immediately feel better and potentially cause a butterfly effect that could potentially improve millions of lives. It sounds ridiculous, but can we know for an absolute fact that that's false? I don't think so. You might be saying to yourself, I know this guy's honestly like really pie in the sky and very fluffy minded and, and airy fairy and all that fun stuff, but like, but in potentially a cotton headed nanny muggins, right? But what if I am right? You know, what if you were born for

[00:05:54] just something great that you haven't even discovered yet, right? Like it, I don't want to hear, you know, you giving yourself the excuse or you beating yourself up over age. Okay. That is been, uh, broke through time and time again. So for example, the story of Colonel Sounders,

[00:06:09] the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, you know, I believe started his franchise and he didn't start wrong. If that's wrong, please correct me. Now the word impossible to most people is simply just a

[00:06:34] self-limiting belief. Did you know that many people have went from broke to billionaires in three years, three years, broke zero to billionaire status in three years. Also the author of the power of your subconscious mind stated that his dad beginning learning, learning French at 65 and became a leader in this language. Also Gaelic around 70 and helped his daughter run a higher learning education platform

[00:07:00] up until the day that he passed away at age 99, where he was still sharp as a tack. You know, so I say to you that if you're 90 right now and you want to become a billionaire and you can do it. If you're 99 right now and you want to live to be 120, why not go for it? If you're a hundred right now and you want to become a billionaire before you pass away and you're broke, you can do it. You can do it. It is possible as Les Brown loves to say, regardless of your age, your place, you know, of

[00:07:28] resonance, your color, your skin, you know, uh, you know, the, and any, any sort of excuse that you could be holding yourself back around, you know, or self-limiting there. They're usually just self-limiting beliefs. And I don't want to take anything away from anybody. I know a lot of people are incredibly super tough, very difficult circumstances. My point right now is to tell you that I believe in you and I want you to believe in yourself. I want you to dream huge. I want you to go out and shoot for

[00:07:56] these massive, huge goals. And I want you to say to yourself as Les Brown would tell you to say to yourself, it is possible. Okay. Because it is, we can't, can you know for a thousand percent certainty that it's not possible for you? Can you know that for a fact? Okay. I just want you to ask yourself that. Okay. And, and, you know, a lot of people have been incredibly horrific, you know, had incredibly horrific trauma inflict upon them and are currently in these conditions.

[00:08:24] And some people are sadly and horribly literally slaves, right? To them, I would say, I'm so sorry for your current condition. I'm praying for you. And, and, you know, there are many people out there that are doing their best to improve your conditions. Right. But to those of us, however, who are experiencing mostly a condition that could be labeled as slavery of the mind, let's get to work. Okay. So I mentioned Les Brown. Have you ever heard the story of Les Brown and his twin

[00:08:49] brother? If not, check it out now after this podcast and ask yourself, you know, is this current situation any worse than, you know, um, than his was in school or after school? Les Brown is incredible incredibly brilliant and amazing human being. Now, in my opinion, he's an incredibly gifted as a speaker, but was he born that way? Was he that way in high school? Was that way in middle school? I don't know.

[00:09:15] Um, I will tell you, he's worked very, very hard to get to where he's there, where he is. And he has not led, uh, any self-limiting beliefs, hold them back. Okay. He's a great speaker and, you know, there is a, he could have just ended up doing nothing in his life. He's had huge letdown after letdown. And, you know, my point is we have to be intentional about where we're going. So in life,

[00:09:41] we've got to be intentional. We've got to believe we can do it. We've got to remember like, as Les Brown would say, it is possible. But as my friend, Jason Dries says, you know, if your GPS is just 80% correct, you're still not going to get to your destination. If you have the address in there, 80% correct. And maybe not the, you know, the wrong words misspelled, you won't get to your destination. You got to have clarity. You got to be very clear about where it is you're going for this.

[00:10:06] I recommend asking yourself what your ideal life looks like and don't allow limitations to be a part of this, you know, uh, exercise because just make it a fun exercise. Okay. This exercise will get you thinking from a 30,000 foot view and there you can dial it down to the nitty gritty. Where do you want to live? You know, how does your ideal ideal day look like, you know, do you wake up and open to the windows, the ocean, spend time with your loved one, go for a run of the beach, come back, have a healthy

[00:10:35] breakfast with your family, work on your passion project for two hours, then set sail for the next four, come back, you know, and have an amazing dinner and a restaurant overlocked looking the ocean and then spend the evening walking, you know, on the beach with your loved one all while passively earning a hundred thousand dollars a month, a million, $2 million a month. What is exactly that you want? Take some time and I'm going to end every single one of these volumes. These are actually

[00:11:04] going to be many, uh, you know, volumes is what I'm calling them. So I'm going to end every single one of these with an exercise. I want you to take 10 minutes right now. Okay. And jot down your ideal life. Where do you wake up? Okay. Who are you spending time with? How much money are you working? How much time are you spending on your passion projects, hobbies, you know, fun things that

[00:11:28] you love to do? Uh, you know, and, um, just, just get sort of, uh, you know, pretty detailed with it and do not put limits on it at all. This is strictly for fun. Go out and do that exercise. Now. Um, I thank you so much for joining me today and, uh, you know, outside of that, you have a wonderful, you know, rest of your day. Another episode of general art of crushing it. And thank you. Well, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, another episode of the gentle art of crushing it.

[00:11:58] It was an amazing episode. We know we sure learned a lot and we hope you did as well. We want to take a second and thank you so much for viewing or listening to this episode. And please just know that we only ask for one favor and that is to make this life magnificent. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
