[00:00:00] Hello and thank you for joining us today on The Gentle Art of Crushing It Show, where we focus on learning and sharing with our listeners all there is to know about how to create success in our lives. This show stands on the shoulders of giants. Our mission is to empower and inspire our listeners to create the life of their dreams whilst having a blast in the process. Let's celebrate life together. Welcome to the show.

[00:00:28] Hello and thank you so much for watching another episode of The Gentle Art of Crushing It. I don't know why I did this, but apparently it's going to be powerful. That's probably why. So today's episode is all about networking, why it's so important and it is actually key. In my experience, it's so important that I personally would not try to do real estate without it. There's a saying that is real estate investing is a team sport. I completely agree with that.

[00:00:57] Especially when it comes to multifamily. You can do it as a solopreneur, solo investor. You're just going to have to take on a lot of responsibility and to be able to be very adept at multiple skills. Okay. And so with that being said, the way that multifamily investing can be broken down into is into multiple groups.

[00:01:27] And so what I'm trying to do is, okay. For starters, if you have a team of real estate investors and you are taking down multifamily as a team, you could have one person that excels at acquisitions. You could have one person that excels at fundraising.

[00:01:45] And you could have another person that excels at asset management. And then you bring them all together. There's more pieces than that, right? But like, as you close on this deal and you all become GPs, for example, you're going to, you can have, you know, all three of those people will become asset managers in one scenario.

[00:02:05] And what's great about that is that you have, you know, three sets, three pairs of eyes on every single challenge, every single problem, every single, you know, victory gets to get celebrated together.

[00:02:18] But it just having multiple eyes on every piece of a business, you know, helps you to not have stuff fall through the cracks. Okay. So you have accountability.

[00:02:34] Outside of that, networking, you know, outside of your team, you networking will be very powerful for you in the sense of, let's just say you're an acquisitions manager.

[00:02:46] So you are the person who is bringing the deals to the team. Okay. Well, networking is powerful because as you put your name out there, as you let people know, hey, these are the deals that I've done.

[00:02:58] You know, these are what we're successfully involved in. These are the deals I've successfully closed on.

[00:03:03] And this is the sort of, you know, income I've made through that. People are going to begin to bring deals to you.

[00:03:09] You could imagine, you know, being David Green or Brandon Turner of BiggerPockets.

[00:03:15] They have deals literally being sent to them all of the time, I guarantee it.

[00:03:21] And so, you know, it's because they are, you know, such big names, but also part of the reason why they are such big names is because they have networked.

[00:03:30] I guarantee, you know, the amount of networking they've done in their investing career is huge.

[00:03:37] Okay. So that's one reason. Also raising money for deals.

[00:03:42] What does your network look like? You know, that's enough reason for you to be networking right there.

[00:03:49] Reaching out and meeting with people.

[00:03:51] So quick game plan because I want this to be, you know, fairly, I want this to be valuable for you.

[00:03:58] What is one game plan that you can use or what are different ways if you're new to networking?

[00:04:04] What are different ways that you could be doing that? Right.

[00:04:06] Right. So, of course, you can go to the in-person events.

[00:04:11] There are meetups everywhere.

[00:04:12] RIAs, every larger city has, you know, a RIA there.

[00:04:17] And so what does RIA stand for? Real Estate Investing Association, I believe.

[00:04:21] R-E-I-A.

[00:04:23] Just Google it. Every single town has them. They're free.

[00:04:26] You also have meetups that some will be free and some will be paid to join.

[00:04:29] But then you have these larger events like a BP Con. There's one coming up pretty soon here.

[00:04:35] You know, these are paid events. Right.

[00:04:37] But they're very powerful networking opportunities.

[00:04:40] Outside of that, if you don't have money, you don't want to travel.

[00:04:43] Well, there's Facebook. Right.

[00:04:45] There's LinkedIn.

[00:04:45] There is, you know, you sitting down, writing a list of 100 people that you know, and then going through and contacting every single one of those people, asking them who they know, letting them know what you're working on.

[00:04:58] And, you know, building your list that way.

[00:05:02] But with that being said, there is also, if you want to do, if you're open to doing versions of, you know, online networking, there is a lot of them out there.

[00:05:15] Okay.

[00:05:16] And so now with that being said, we at the General Art of Crushing It have a free multifamily mastermind.

[00:05:23] It's great for networking.

[00:05:24] There are people that are doing deals in this mastermind.

[00:05:27] There are people that are bringing deals to this mastermind.

[00:05:29] And just, you know, you could actually reach out to me and just go to the Facebook group, the General Art of Crushing It Facebook group.

[00:05:37] Ask to join.

[00:05:38] It's free.

[00:05:40] And I'd love to have you there.

[00:05:42] Now, what I wanted to say is, for me, I like to network through Facebook because you can take a minute or two, see if these people are already real estate investors.

[00:05:55] Reach out, schedule a time, and you're just getting to know them, you know.

[00:05:59] And what do they say is one of the most valuable skills on planet Earth is people skills.

[00:06:06] So getting to know people, where can you bring value to them, and just working on that skill of networking, okay, and then growing your brand, growing your business through that.

[00:06:20] And, you know, there's so much to be said about that.

[00:06:22] With that being said, I do want to keep this tight.

[00:06:25] I will say, please reach out to us.

[00:06:28] Please join our, you know, mastermind because it is growing.

[00:06:33] It is, you know, thriving.

[00:06:34] It is flourishing.

[00:06:35] And you, guaranteed, will get benefit from that.

[00:06:39] Guaranteed, also, if you reach out directly to me, you will get a lot of benefit from that conversation.

[00:06:43] We'll jump on a call if you'd like to.

[00:06:45] I'm here to support.

[00:06:47] And so with that being said, I am going to wrap it up wishing you an amazing life.

[00:06:52] Please remember to make this life magnificent.

[00:06:54] Thank you so much for watching slash listening to another episode of The Gentle Art of Crushing It.

[00:06:59] And with that being said, I hope you have a great day.

[00:07:01] Well, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen.

[00:07:03] Another episode of The Gentle Art of Crushing It.

[00:07:06] It was an amazing episode.

[00:07:08] We know we sure learned a lot, and we hope you did as well.

[00:07:11] We want to take a second and thank you so much for viewing or listening to this episode.

[00:07:17] And please just know that we only ask for one favor, and that is to make this life magnificent.

[00:07:23] Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
